Common Questions
If you’re like most people, you’ve probably asked yourself…
Can you still help me if I’m not in the Raleigh area?
Absolutely. Even though I’m based in the Raleigh area, I’m licensed in multiple states and work with clients all across the country. In fact, many of the families I serve live outside of North Carolina—we connect virtually, which makes the process flexible and convenient without losing that personal connection. Whether you're nearby or on the other side of the country, we’ll take the time to understand your goals, your concerns, and what financial peace of mind means to you. From there, we’ll see if the strategies we offer—tax-free income, market protection, and lifetime retirement solutions—are the right fit for what you’re looking to build. 👉 So yes—we can absolutely help, no matter where you call home.
Why should I trust your team to help with my retirement?
Honestly? We’re not sure you should… at least not yet. Because here’s the truth: We don’t know how much you have saved. We don’t know what your goals are—or how long you plan to stay retired before considering work again. We don’t even know if you want to stay retired at all, or if our philosophy on money and protection is what you’re really looking for. And that’s exactly why we start with a conversation—not a sales pitch. Because it really depends on what you want your retirement to feel like—not just what the numbers say. If you're like many families we serve, you’ve done everything “right”: ✔️ Invested in your 401(k) ✔️ Followed traditional advice ✔️ Hoped the market would cooperate But what if retirement doesn’t feel secure anymore? What if you’re tired of volatility, taxes, and uncertainty about how long your money will last? That’s where we come in. Once we understand your vision, your fears, and your priorities, we help you explore options that offer: ✔️ Protection from market losses ✔️ Tax-free income strategies ✔️ Confidence that your money will last as long as you do So the better question might be: 👉 What do you want your retirement to actually give you—and is your current plan built to deliver it? We’re here when you’re ready to find out.
I already have an advisor, why do I need to have a conversation with you?
That’s a great question! It's not an easy one to answer, but let's break it down. Having an advisor is commendable, but it's important to recognize that financial advisors and insurance agents often serve different purposes. To better understand, let’s consider a few key questions. When you first chose your advisor, what was your primary reason? Most people would say, "I wanted to invest my money," or "I wanted my money to grow." Some might add, "My advisor is a trusted friend or family member." Building trust with your advisor is crucial, but here’s the next question: What matters more to you—your relationship with your advisor or achieving the financial results you desire? Let’s be honest: How much have you lost in the market in recent years? Do you want to keep losing? We need to understand that investing and retirement planning are two different things. The rules change once you’re in retirement. When you’re planning, you're contributing to your account, and average returns matter because you have time to recover from losses. But in retirement, contributions stop, and withdrawals become the priority. Average returns lose their importance because market downturns can drastically affect how much money you have left, potentially forcing you back to work. So ask yourself: If the results you're getting aren’t aligned with your goals, would you rather sacrifice your relationship with your advisor or your retirement? Many people feel they need to consult their financial advisor before making any decisions, and I agree. However, if you do, I encourage you to ask them these key questions: Is there anything right now that protects my principal without sacrificing the growth? If so, what are those strategies? Is there any mechanism in place currently that eliminates management fees from my account? Outside of the ROTH IRA are there any other tax free strategies that you can guide me on for my future? The reality is, financial advisors may not recommend something outside of their expertise, licensing, or product offerings. They may not have a way to eliminate fees, taxes, or risk from your accounts. But that's where we come in. All we do, every day, is ERFT: we Eliminate Risk, Fees, and Taxes. For all of our clients and potentially for you as well.
I already have a 401(k), which is free money. Why should I consider other options?
Having a 401(k) shows that you understand the importance of planning for your future, and you're already taking steps in the right direction. But when we talk about "free money," is it really free? Does free money actually exist? Let’s break it down. Think back to when you first set up your 401(k). How did you choose it? Most likely, you received a welcome packet with information and a form to fill out. You checked some boxes, maybe asked HR for a bit of guidance, or got advice from friends or co-workers. Then, you crossed your fingers, hoping your money would grow and support you in retirement. Right? Now, think about how much is your company matching your 401(k) contributions? Some people might say they get 100%, others 50%, or maybe 8%. Let’s say you contribute $100, and your company matches it with another $100—that’s a 100% match. Which is really great, right? But remember, while it’s a tax write-off for your company, for you, it's taxable. You’ll owe taxes on the total $200. Now, let’s assume you contribute $500 a month to your 401(k), which totals $6,000 a year. If your company matches 50%, they’re adding $250 a month, making it $750 a month that’s going into your account. Over 30 years, with an average 6% growth rate, your retirement account could grow to about $753,386. That’s a big number! But wait—who haven’t you paid yet? Uncle Sam! When you start withdrawing, you’ll owe him his cut. Let’s say you pay 35% in federal taxes (without even considering state taxes), which means you'd be handing over about $263,685 to the IRS, leaving you with $489,700. Still will you say this is a nice chunk of change! But here’s where it gets real: You need that money to last at least 20 years. That breaks down to about $24,485 a year (or $2,040 a month) to spend in retirement. Assuming: You never lose money in the market. You always get that 50% match. You stay with the same company for 30 years. The company doesn’t go out of business. You never borrow or withdraw from your account early. You’re not paying any fees. Inflation doesn't affect your savings. So, is the "free money" from your 401(k) truly free, or is it just an illusion? It's worth considering other options that could provide a more secure future for you—without all the assumptions.
Insurance! Those are expensive, aren’t they?
Let’s get to the root of this. Many people have a misconception that certain types of insurance are expensive. This belief often stems from traditional financial advisors who may make the naive claim that insurance costs too much. But the truth is, they often don’t fully understand how properly structured insurance can actually outperform stocks, bonds, municipal bonds, and mutual funds—especially when you consider the tax implications of various investment options. Think of it like this: Would you let a dermatologist perform a heart surgery on you or one of your family members? Probably not! So why trust someone who isn’t an expert in insurance to guide you on such a specific and complex strategy? Financial advisors may be great at growing your money through stocks and the market, but that doesn’t make them experts in eliminating risk, fees, and taxes through insurance. It's crucial to seek out specialists in this area. Now, let’s clear up another point: Yes, insurance can be costly if it’s not structured properly. If a policy isn’t designed and funded the right way, unnecessary costs can pile up. But when structured and funded correctly, these long-term cash accumulation vehicles—designed to work over five years or more—can actually be quite affordable. Over time, the cost of insurance, relative to the gross rate of return, becomes very manageable. One reason traditional financial advisors may steer you away from insurance is simple: They make money based on the total assets they manage. The more of your money they manage, the more they earn in fees. Insurance professionals, on the other hand, don’t earn management fees from the insurance company. In fact, traditional advisors may make significantly more managing your assets than an insurance professional would earn from helping you secure a policy. In the long run, keeping your money tied to the market—with its ups and downs, plus all the fees—can actually be more expensive than a properly structured insurance. And unlike market-based investments, insurance offers guarantees that protect your financial future. Just because a financial advisor suggests leaving your money there doesn’t mean it’s the best option—often, it’s because they continue earning fees from managing your assets. What will ultimately cost you more. This could lead to a situation where, in your later years, you may have to go back to work or seek financial assistance from family or the government. Think carefully about your options—and don't let fees determine your financial future.
What types of coverage do you offer?
We offer a range of protection-based solutions—including term life, whole life, indexed universal life (IUL) insurance, and annuities designed for long-term income and security. But to be transparent: We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all answers—because we don’t know your situation yet. We don’t know your goals, your family needs, or what kind of legacy you want to leave behind. That’s why we start by understanding what matters most to you. Once we get clear on your priorities, we’ll walk you through the options and help you choose the kind of coverage that fits—not just for today, but for the future you’re building. 👉 The right protection isn’t just about having a policy. It’s about having a plan that works when your family needs it most.
But what if my spouse doesn't work?
That’s a great question! But before answering, let me ask: Why wouldn’t you consider it? Isn’t your spouse a vital part of your family’s dynamic? In the event of your spouse’s absence, would you be financially prepared to take on everything they did at home—without compromising your work? Let’s break it down. As the breadwinner, your passing would understandably plunge your family into financial uncertainty. But what if your non-working spouse were to face an unfortunate event? How would your family manage? The ripple effect on childcare and the sudden increase in expenses could be overwhelming. By ensuring both you and your spouse have equal coverage, you’re securing not just their financial future but also your peace of mind. Your spouse may not contribute financially, but their role is no less crucial. They’re the ones ensuring the daily routines, providing emotional support, managing the household, and nurturing your family’s emotional well-being. Imagine their absence—while you’re still working and trying to keep everything afloat. The emotional and financial strain could be immense. Now picture this scenario: Your spouse passes away, leaving you with the kids, and you receive a sum of money that gives you the flexibility to decide whether to keep working or to spend more time with your children. Compare that to a situation where you receive nothing and must continue working, all while grappling with emotional and financial hardship. Planning for an event like this may seem uncomfortable, but it’s about making sure your family has options and stability, even in the most challenging of times. So, wouldn't you say it's better to have insurance and never use it than to need it and not have it?
Why would I consider working with you instead of staying in my current job or pursuing something more “stable”?
Fair question—and we’re not here to talk you into anything. Truth is, we don’t know what you’re missing in your current situation. We don’t know if you feel stuck, underpaid, or like your work doesn’t align with your values. We don’t know what freedom means to you—more time with family? More purpose? More income? And we definitely don’t know if what we offer is the vehicle you’ve been looking for. But once we understand your story—what you want, what’s not working, and what you’re hungry for—we can help you see if this is the path that finally makes sense. Because here’s what we do know: Most people were promised that corporate life would lead to freedom. Instead, they find themselves stuck in the same routine: ❌ Missing moments that matter ❌ Working just to get by ❌ Climbing a ladder that’s leaned against the wrong wall We offer a different way forward. One that helps you build real freedom while helping others do the same. You don’t need prior experience. You need: ✔️ A reason to grow ✔️ A heart to serve ✔️ A willingness to be mentored and build something of your own So maybe the better question is: 👉 What if the life you want is on the other side of a different kind of opportunity? If you’re open to exploring that—we’re here.
How Can I Join the NextGen Wealth Transfer Team—and Is It Really Worth It?
Short answer: It starts with a conversation. But if you're serious about building a future with purpose, not just a paycheck, this could be your most important next move. Let’s Get Real—What Are You Really Looking For? You’re not here because you want “just another job.” Can I ask you something that might sound a bit personal? Have you ever looked at your current path and quietly asked yourself… “Is this really all there is?” You’re here because something inside you knows there has to be more: ✔️ More freedom ✔️ More purpose ✔️ More financial control ✔️ More time with family ✔️ More meaning in the work you do What would it feel like to finally have all five—without sacrificing your peace of mind or your family? That’s exactly why we created the NextGen Wealth Transfer Team—to help people like you build a life that’s purpose-driven, financially sound, and built to last. But here’s the truth: “Success is not for the chosen few. It’s for the few who choose.” — Patrick Bet-David Let me ask: If you knew the path to success required courage, but not perfection… would you be open to exploring it? How It Works: The First Move Getting started is simple, but not always easy. It begins with a real conversation. We’ll ask you: * What drives you? * Where do you want to be in 10 years? * Are you open to doing what most people won’t—so you can live how most people can’t? Let me ask you this: If the only thing between you and the life you want is a decision—what would hold you back from making it? If we’re aligned, we move forward. If not? That’s okay. We don’t say “yes” to everyone—and we don’t expect everyone to say “yes” to us. This isn’t about pressure. It’s about alignment. Because let’s be honest… Isn’t it more important to build something that actually fits your values, instead of chasing something that just pays the bills? What Does It Cost to Get Started? The initial investment is around $500—not all at once. It covers: * Your state licensing (mandatory to work with carriers) * Business tools and foundational software And before you think, “That’s a lot,” ask yourself: What has your current job or degree cost you—in time, stress, or opportunity? Most people spend $50,000–$200,000 on a college degree… and still don’t learn how to build wealth, avoid taxes, or create income for life. We help you learn that—and more—for a fraction of the cost. Think of it like planting a seed: You don’t pay to get in—you invest to grow. Would it be worth a few hundred dollars today to build a life of time freedom, tax-free income, and legacy-level impact? What You’ll Get: Education That Changes Everything Once you’re in, here’s what you unlock: * World-class financial training * Mentorship from people actually living the lifestyle you want * A proven system to build your business step-by-step * A team who won’t just cheer you on—but challenge you to level up This isn’t classroom theory. It’s real-world wealth education. It’s retirement reimagined. Have you ever wondered: What would’ve changed if someone had taught you how money and taxes really work—back when you were 18? Now imagine having that chance today—with guidance, support, and a proven roadmap. Myth-Busting Moment MYTH: “This sounds too good to be true.” TRUTH: It’s not too good to be true. It’s just rare—because very few people are willing to: * Be proactive with their future (Habit 1) * Begin with the end in mind (Habit 2) * Put first things first (Habit 3) Can I ask you something? What’s the cost of waiting another 3… 5… 10 years to take control of your financial future? Most people drift through life without ever making a clear, purpose-driven move. But the ones who do? They change everything. Quick Analogy: The $100K Mistake Imagine two people. Both want financial freedom. Person A spends 4 years and $100K on a degree they don’t use, ends up with debt and no plan for retirement. Person B spends $500 and 12 months working on a business that teaches them tax-free retirement strategies and builds passive income. One is stuck. The other has options. So, which one do you want to be? And maybe a better question is: Which one are you becoming right now based on the choices you’re making? This Isn’t a Job. It’s a Mission. We’re not looking for employees. We’re looking for mission-driven people who want to help families avoid the retirement traps most people fall into: * Paying more taxes in retirement than expected * Losing savings to market downturns * Outliving their money * Having no guaranteed income in their later years These are real risks—and we teach solutions the traditional system never will. “If you want different results, you need a different plan.” — Tom Hegna, Paychecks and Playchecks Let me ask one last thing: If you could become the person your family counts on to protect and grow wealth for generations… would it be worth exploring this path a little deeper? We’ll walk with you. But you have to bring the mindset. Because this work will challenge you. It will grow you. And it might just change your life.
Do You Offer Leadership Development—or Is This Just a Sales Gig?

That’s how real duplication happens. Let me ask: What kind of ripple effect could your leadership create—if you chose to start? Leadership here is about changing lives, not checking boxes. That’s the difference leadership makes. Who This Is For Leadership may be your next move if: * You’re growth-minded * You’ve got people in your network who align with our mission * You want to help others achieve freedom—not just chase commissions * You’re ready to be proactive and think beyond your own results So let me ask directly: Do you know one or two people in your life who value faith, family, and financial legacy—and just need the right platform? If so, we’ll show you how to bring them into something more than a job. It’s a mission. It’s a movement. It might be your legacy. Begin With the End in Mind Let’s zoom out for a second. Think about your future—10 years from now. Will you look back and say, “I earned some good commissions”… or “I helped others change their family tree—and mine too”? If you’re ready to build a team, not just a book of business, we’re ready to walk with you. We’ll equip you with tools, coaching, and a clear pathway to scale—but only if that’s the direction you want to grow. “Your next five moves determine the quality of your life.” — Patrick Bet-David This could be your next one. And if it is—we’re here to help you own it.
What Kind of Support Do You Offer? — I Don’t Want to Build This Alone
Short answer: You won’t be alone. Every agent gets world-class support—training, mentorship, tools, and a team that actually cares. But let’s be honest for a second… Have you ever started something new and wondered, “What if I’m left to figure it out alone?” You’re not the only one who’s felt that way. That’s why we built this system differently—on purpose. You’re In Business For Yourself—But Never By Yourself One of the biggest fears people have when stepping into a new opportunity is this: “Am I going to be on my own?” Let me ask: What would it feel like to step into something unfamiliar… and immediately know you’re supported from every side? With us, the answer is a clear no—you’re not alone. Let me ask you this: When was the last time you felt fully supported—like someone was in your corner no matter what? That’s what we want to create for you here. Quick Analogy: The GPS vs. the Map Most businesses hand you a map and wish you luck. We hand you a GPS, walk alongside you, and help recalculate if you ever take a wrong turn. People lead the systems.” — Michael Gerber, The E-Myth You’re not just joining a team. You’re plugging into a vision—with a road already paved. Does knowing the path is already laid out change how ready you feel to take the first step? Final Thought: You Bring the Drive. We Bring the Engine. If you’re: * Coachable * Mission-driven * Ready to serve… Then we’ll give you everything else: * Tools * Training * Mentorship * A tribe that believes in you * And a system that scales with you You won’t be alone for a single step—unless you choose to be. “The only thing worse than starting something and failing… is not starting at all.” — Seth Godin

Quick Analogy: The Campfire Think of your leadership like lighting a campfire. You don’t need to be a wilderness expert. You just need the spark, the right tools, and someone to show you how to strike the match. Once you’ve built your flame, others can gather around it, too. Have you ever felt like there’s a fire inside you—waiting for the right moment to catch? That’s what our system does: it turns sparks into strong, sustainable fires. “Leadership is not about age, background, or degrees.
